Terms, safety and disclosure
What is stored, the limits of a blueprint, and the commitment that a part is never recommended because it pays us.
A blueprint is information, not supervision
These pages describe how things are made. They are not a substitute for training, for a qualified person, or for the instructions that came with your tools. Where a category is unsafe to describe at all, it is on the refusal list and stays there.
Parts and affiliate revenue
If a supplier link ever carries affiliate revenue it is disclosed on the page that carries it, and it does not influence which part is recommended. A blueprint that recommends the wrong part for a commission has ended its own usefulness, and there is no version of that trade we are interested in.
What is stored
Reading is anonymous. Requests, saved blueprints and generated builds belong to the account that made them and are deletable.
Questions
Who is responsible if a build goes wrong?
You are responsible for what you build. We are responsible for not publishing a category where being wrong is a hazard, which is what the refusal list is.
